Christina McPhee is a new media artist whose work crosses boundaries between digital and traditional drawing and painting. Slipstream, a narrative of time in landscape, will be presented in 2001-2002 at Caelum Gallery and Laumont Editions, New York; Grey McGear Modern, Santa Monica; and as a drawing/digital installation at the Beach Museum of Art, Kansas State University. Slipstream appears as flash movies on the internet at www.slipstreamandromeda.com. Her work is also represented by Byron Cohen Gallery for Contemporary Art, Kansas City, and IAC, London.

Christina was born in Los Angeles County, California, and studied at the Kansas City Art Institute (BFA) and the Boston University School for the Arts (MFA) after attending Scripps. She was a resident artist at the Vermont Studio Center in 1994, and at the Banff Centre for the Arts in Alberta in 1999. She also was awarded the position of Lois Langland Alumna in Residence at Scripps College in 2000.
