“In addition to enriching my life daily, my education from Scripps and the Claremont Colleges goes to work with me in my job at the Broad Art Foundation, where I manage three collections of contemporary art. I believe in the value of the internships that Scripps encourages, particularly because of my senior year internship at MOCA (the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles) eventually helped me secure my current job. I think it’s crucial for a women’s college to make experimentation with career goals a central focus along with academics, and Scripps does that.”
Joanne earned her M.A. from the Courtauld Institute of Art, University of London. Joanne is presently the curator at the Broad Art Foundation in Santa Monica.
