Jessica Duffett ’06

Associate, First Republic Bank

Jessica Duffett graduated from Scripps in 2006 majoring with honors in Studio Art and minors in Art History and French. She is currently an associate at First Republic Bank in New York, where she has the privilege of working with many art world clients including artists, galleries, collectors, foundations, and not-for-profit organizations.

Prior to First Republic, Jessica completed her MBA (2013) in finance and entrepreneurship at the NYU Stern School of Business. During her time at Stern, Jessica was an associate at Orca Capital Securities, a boutique investment bank. She spent the earlier years of her career advancing in roles in sales, research, client development, and as an artist liaison at Leo Castelli and Mitchell-Innes & Nash galleries in New York. She worked closely with artists, including Chris Martin, William Pope.L, the Estate of Roy Lichtenstein, Robert Morris, and Joseph Kosuth. She also was instrumental in coordinating the forthcoming new online edition of the Cezanne catalogue raisonne for David Nash (of Mitchell-Innes & Nash).

During her years at Scripps, Jessica interned at the Ruth Chandler Williamson Gallery as a part of the Wilson Internship Program. She served as a curatorial intern to the Portland Art Museum and participated in two LA County Arts summer internships at performing arts organizations. She is a member of ArtTable, the national organization of women in the visual arts, and a founder and chair of the Addison Contemporaries for the Addison Gallery at Phillips Academy Andover.
