Donielle Kaufman ’10

BOARD RELATIONS COORDINATOR AND ASSISTANT TO JEFFREY DEITCH, MOCA

After graduating from Scripps with a degree in art history in 2010, Donielle Kaufman began interning for Director Jeffrey Deitch at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles. Within a week of her internship, she was asked to assist artist Doug Aitken, director of MOCA’s 2010 gala, in the production of an artist book entitled The Idea of the West. She interned at Aitken’s studio for several months before a job position opened as Board Relations Coordinator and assistant to Jeffrey Deitch at the museum. Donielle said, “My experiences at Scripps College and the Courtauld Institute of Art opened my eyes to the art world. Scripps gave me the necessary skills to pursue my own career path in the arts with confidence through fascinating coursework and discussion as well as the mentorship of Juliet Koss and Mary MacNaughton.”
