Jennifer Wells Green ’84

“My Scripps experience taught me to recognize the value of interdisciplinary thought and practice—to continually question the relationship of the arts to society and the individual.”

After earning her Master’s Degree in Art History from Brown University, Jennifer received a fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) and later became a curatorial assistant at The Museum of Modern Art in New York in the Department of Painting and Sculpture. She has been the Curator of the PaineWebber Art Collection; overseeing the acquisitions program in addition to installing the collection of some 600 contemporary art works throughout the worldwide corporate headquarters. Jennifer was a vice president in the Art Advisory Services at Citibank; a principal at the executive search firm of Heidrick & Struggles, in Irvine, CA; and is currently the Director of Development at the Armand Hammer Museum of Art in Los Angeles. She is also the co-author of a book on the PaineWebber collection, which was published by Rizzoli in 1995.
