Jessica Rosenthal ’13

Jessica Rosenthal graduated from Scripps College
in 2013, majoring in art Rosenthal 2conservation with minors in art history and studio art. During her studies at Scripps, Jessica had opportunities to train with conservators at libraries and museums including the Huntington in Pasadena, CA and the Ransom Center of Austin, TX. After graduation, she traveled to Israel, where she spent a year working at the Art Museum of Yad Vashem, the Holocaust museum in Jerusalem. Jessica returned to the US, where she continued her studies in conservation at Boston’s North Bennet Street School, focusing on bookbinding and book conservation. She also worked at the MIT Libraries book conservation laboratory.

Jessica’s interdisciplinary studies at Scripps and her museum work inspired her to pursue further studies in art history. Last year, with the encouragement and guidance of her advisors and professors from the 5Cs, Jessica applied to graduate school. She is currently working on her master’s degree in art history at Williams College in Williamstown, MA. She is also the publication’s intern for the Clark Art Institute, and very much enjoys assisting with the exciting exhibits there and helping to prepare the Clark Journal and catalogs.
