Alfred Ramos Martinez, The Flower Venders, Mural (Detail), 1946, 83 1/16 x 1182 11/16 in., Scripps College, Claremont, CA
Thoughout the early fall, every Wednesday at 12:30, Meher McArthur, Scripps’ Gabrielle Jungels-Winkler Curator of Academic Programs and Collections, has appeared somewhere on campus and given a quick, 15-minute talk on a single work of art from the College’s permanent collection. In her “Taste of Art” lunchtime series, all are welcome to explore the treasures of the collection with McArthur, one work at a time.
While the series is now on a short hiatus, McAthur is in the process of creating more talks. When those plans are concrete, dates, times and featured works will be posted here.
